Our guides and calculators are produced and reviewed by the DebtFreedom editorial team and published by Vertial Holdings Pty Ltd. Every page shows when it was last updated. We're not financial counsellors, and our content is general information — not advice for your situation.

Our payoff figures are computed by the same engine that powers the DebtFreedom tool — a conservative, transparent calculation from the numbers shown on the page. They're estimates: real outcomes depend on your actual balances, rates and your lender's terms.

We rely on primary and authoritative sources — Australian legislation, ASIC's Moneysmart, AFCA, AFSA, the RBA and the ABS, and providers' own published hardship information. For provider details (like hardship program pages), we show when we last checked and always tell you to confirm current details on the provider's own website.

We don't publish credit offers or promote loans, we don't make promises about outcomes, and we present free help first. Where we describe options like debt agreements or bankruptcy, we include the serious consequences, not just the upsides.
